Attorney Sparler has been practicing law in York County since his graduation from Tulane University in 1970.  He was an assistant county solicitor and an assistant district attorney for over six years and presently concentrates his practice in matrimonial and family law.  Attorney Sparler has tried hundreds of cases or hearings involving the custody of children, divorce, property distribution, child support, alimony, protection from abuse, adoption and other issues in which the family is involved.   He has successfully argued numerous cases before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and is one of only several attorneys in York County that has a published opinion from the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and which remains current law and is often cited in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and throughout the country, as it pertains to professional good will and business valuations in equitable distribution proceedings.  Attorney Sparler continues to be a guest lecturer at various Pennsylvania Divorce Law Seminars.  Although his practice is concentrated in York County, he also has an extensive practice in Lancaster County and practices in Adams County, Dauphin County, Franklin and Cumberland Counties.  He has handled numerous complex and difficult cases from inception through appeal and has a diverse client base representing other attorneys, physicians and other professionals in family law matters.

Attorney Sparler was recently recognized by the Philadelphia Magazine as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in 2005 Family Law Section (Second Annual Guide to Top Attorneys in Pennsylvania, Law and Politics Division).  He has been accepted as a life member of the National Registry of Who’s Who and has been included in Strathmore’s Who’s Who for 2005-2006, which organizations admit their membership to those attorneys who demonstrate leadership and achievement in their profession.

Attorney Sparler enjoys tennis, skiing, foreign travel and gourmet cooking in his leisure time.
